  • Rob Moore

    Rob Moore - Chief Executive Officer

    Rob Moore is a leader and executive with more than 20 years of experience in product management, consulting, and information technology. His broad skills range from financial management, investor relations and change management to consulting, continuous improvement and team building. Prior to joining the AccessVR team, he served as chief operating officer and general manager for Blue Rocket Incorporated, an IT services and consulting firm headquartered in Redmond, Washington, and as vice president of digital customer experience at Masonite International. He also served in several management and leadership roles at ADT, General Electric (GE) and Oracle. He holds a B.S. in economics from the University of Utah, several Six Sigma certificates, and received awards from General Electric for his efforts to improve customer experiences and deliver business value quickly and efficiently.

  • J.J. Ruscella - Chief Immersive Officer, EVP, Founder

    A pioneer of immersive learning, J.J. Ruscella serves as Chief Immersive Officer and EVP of AccessVR. Most recently, his Immersive Design taxonomy was IEEE published and adopted by the Air Force University in their training curriculum. JJ founded and led the Shenandoah Center for Immersive Learning at Shenandoah University as Executive Director. While there he won the H. Hiter Harris III Award for Excellence in Instructional Technology as well as the Shenandoah Valley Technology Council’s Innovation in Higher Education. Prior to Shenandoah, he founded the Interactive Performance Lab at the University of Central Florida, designing one of the first live simulation stages, StoryBox, that was housed at Lincoln Center 2016-17. Published author, award-winning film director, and critically acclaimed theatre director, Ruscella is an expert in applied story, with more than 25 years of experience in simulation and training. He holds an AA from Seminole Community College, a BA from the University of South Florida, and an MFA from Rutgers University/Mason Gross School of the Arts.

  • William Findley - SVP Business Development and Investor Relations, Founder

    William Findley brings a diverse range of experience to the Access VR team through decades spent in the financial and investment industries for some of the largest financial and investment firms on and off Wall Street. He has worked in the Private Equity arena, helping to raise capital for early-stage companies, as well as in the financial accounting industry bringing comprehensive trust accounting software applications to the banking industry. He also worked in the entertainment industry, helping to create the Santa Is Real brand including production for a major motion picture, publishing, and product development/merchandising. William holds a B.A. degree in pre-law from Clemson University and studied law at the University of South Carolina. He holds several professional licenses in the areas of security, insurance, and real estate.

  • Joanne Ruscella - Executive Director, Operations

    Joanne Ruscella brings extensive experience in project and large team management. Her background includes television production manager for Ed McMahon’s “NextBigStar,” where she managed the first online television hybrid talent competition that would lay the foundation for American Idol and The Voice. A corporate executive, Joanne has led numerous production companies from live event to film and video to virtual reality. As an educator she launched and ran the State Theatre of North Carolina’s Education Division: Studio 52. Most recently she was the Operations Manager for the Shenandoah Center for Immersive Learning, a research and development lab which designed and developed products for government and corporate entities. She holds an Associates of Arts from Hillsborough Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rutgers University, and a Master of Science in Performing Arts Leadership and Management from Shenandoah University.

  • Aaron Collegeman - Lead Technical Advisor

    In a career spanning 25 years, Aaron has designed, engineered, marketed, and supported software across a wide range of platforms and industries, including telecommunications, education, government, real estate, and now, learning management and presence engineering. In his role as lead engineer for Squidoo, Aaron learned about the art of storytelling and the necessity of earning attention from one’s audience—from none other than Seth Godin, the creator of Permission Marketing. As a CTO in real estate, he has studied the critical importance of relationship management to the growth of any business. Now with AccessVR, he is nothing less than thrilled to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the emerging mediums of VR, AR, and XR, and is humbled to have the opportunity to ensure that humanity is installed into the machines.

  • Matt Watson - Director, Government Relations and Programs

    Mr. Watson oversees government contract relationships and helps clients determine how new technologies can enhance their current training programs. He also manages the AVR Labs which are hubs for innovative solutions in XR (extended reality) to all sectors of society, creating a shared marketplace for distribution of XR talent, services, products, and commercialized experiences.

    Mr. Watson is a subject matter expert in public safety training and emergency management. He has created and implemented large scale government exercises outside of the United States and has helped U.S. foreign partner governments create exercise teams capable of evaluating their own agency capabilities. These exercises have lead to new training initiatives to combat terrorism around the world.

  • Tim Howes - Director, Brand & Product Design

    Tim is a certified Brand Specialist, Brand Strategist and Scrum Master with 20 years of experience in the Web and Software Development industry as a Multimedia Developer, UX Designer, Project Manager, Creative Director, Business Development Director and Business Owner.

    Tim began his career developing classified online courseware for the DOD and Navy’s Submarine Onboard Training (SOBT) program before transitioning into the commercial content management and ecommerce markets. In 2011, Tim co-founded The Scylla Group, Inc. in Winchester, VA, which specializes in delivering innovative, immersive experiences, that leverage emergent technologies from interactive configuration applications to Augmented Reality, for global brands to support their sales and marketing efforts.

  • Sally Anderson - Manager, Role Play and Simulation

    Sally Anderson came to North America with a background in Shakespeare and professional attributes as an Equity Stage Manager. While working in England, she discovered deep roots and sympathies in the immersive theatre teaching of Brian Way and studied interactive theatre techniques as a means of exploring most educational subjects even mathematics! During the 80s and 90s in Connecticut, she developed summer programs in role play, predominately offering K -12 educators ways of dealing with trauma, sexual harassment, and bullying. Moving to the upper echelons of academia in Virginia, she developed training courses in standardized patient and role play that enhanced the teaching of Nursing, Occupation Therapy, Physician Assistant and Psychology students as well as the training of First Responders, EMTs and the State Department. This led to creating a diverse and experienced workforce of Role Players that raises Role Play to a new level in the medical profession, through AccessVR.

  • Anthony Perrella Jr. - Director, Content

    Anthony Perrella Jr. comes to the world of 360 media with 20 years experience in theatre as actor, director and producer, as well as more than five years working in Hollywood as both camera crew and post production supervisor. Most recently, Anthony was the post supervisor for the 2021-22 award show season on Live! From E! including the Emmys, Grammys and Academy Awards. What Anthony eventually discovered in 360 video was a way to combine his mastery of live theatre with the magic of Hollywood production to create new applications and experiences in VR. To have found a like-minded partner in AccessVR is a dream come true, and he is extremely excited to bring his experience and passion to the company. He is even more excited for people to experience what AccessVR is creating for them!

  • Daniel Kobylarz - UX Designer

    Daniel is a UX Designer with a background in designing user centric technologies that simply aim to make lives easier. He brings a varied perspective of insights from several fields- in healthcare, as an advocate for people with disabilities, and from videogame development, as an advocate for players.

    In videogame development he has experience in creating award winning titles, with releases across platforms such as: Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, iOS & Android Devices. In this space he has worked as a Soundtrack Composer, UX/UI Designer, and Voice Over Engineer.

    Daniel holds an MSc in User-Centered Design from Brandeis University, and BA degrees in Psychology and Music, both from William Paterson University of New Jersey.

  • Caius Ruscella - Unity Developer

    Caius is a Unity Developer who develops for both VR and desktop mediums. He was a contract developer for 4 years, before joining AccessVR as their first lab tech. Caius has contracted to a number of parties over the years, including the US government, local governments, and local education institutions. His strengths include Unity development and the ability to use various programming languages including C++, C#, Python, and JavaScript.

    Having discovered his love of coding with an online programming class at the age of 11, Caius spent the next years of his life absorbing everything he could through classes at Rollins College, Radford University, and Shenandoah University. Through his love of learning, and with over 28,000 hours in Minecraft, Caius set his sights on becoming a world class game designer. One of his proudest moments was demonstrating a program to Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin on which he was lead developer.

    Caius graduated Magna Cum Laude from George Mason University, where he holds a BFA in Computer Game Design.

  • Kaela Dunlap - Production Assistant

    Kaela Dunlap is a graduate of Shenandoah Conservatory, holding a B.M in Music Production and Recording Technology. She started out playing the clarinet and saxophone, and her love of music developed into a passion for audio. During her time at Shenandoah, she worked at the Shenandoah Center for Immersive Learning. Since graduating, she worked for Shenandoah as a studio assistant, then as a production manager. She has experience with studio recording, live sound, audio for video, ambisonic recording, and 360 sound design. While she primarily works as a sound designer, she has enjoyed branching out and learning Unity and C#.

  • Daniel Trout - Production Assistant

    Dan is an audio engineer who specializes in ambisonic audio production and dialog editing. His love for all things sound started when he first picked up the trombone in 4th grade - since then, he’s played in ensembles ranging from full symphonic orchestras to swing bands, and everything in between. He holds a B.M. in Music Production and Recording Technology from Shenandoah University, where he spent countless hours on both sides of the recording studio glass. Dan began exploring immersive audio as a lab technician at the Shenandoah Center for Immersive Learning. Now, AccessVR has given him the opportunity to put his skills to the test and contribute to the rapidly-expanding field of virtual reality and 360º production.

  • John Ulbrich - Jr. Unity Developer

    John Ulbrich is a graduate of Shenandoah Conservatory, holding a B.S in Virtual Reality Design and an Associates in Computer Science. Starting when he was little, he was always one to disassemble things to learn how they work, and in middle school, that technical curiosity turned into a drive to understand computer science and 3D design. During his time at Shenandoah, he worked at the Shenandoah Center for Immersive Learning, 3D modeling and designing unity environments and games, creating the framework for a VR nursing training program for his capstone. Since graduating, he has been working for AccessVR as an in-house 3D modeler and Unity Developer, specializing in render pipelines and visuals, but branching out into advanced C# and JSON.
