Unveiling 'The Great Experiment': Immersive Insights into America's Founding at Prestigious Academic Conferences

In the fall of 2023, AccessVR, LLC made its mark on the academic conference circuit as AVR Chief Immersive Officer JJ Ruscella participated in two significant events.

In September, Ruscella proudly represented AVR at the Omohundro Institute Annual Conference in Williamsburg, VA, and then virtually attended the ILA Conference in October 2023.

At both conferences, AVR, Shenandoah University, and James Madison University showcased their revolutionary immersive VR experience titled 'The Great Experiment.' This groundbreaking project was developed in collaboration with esteemed academics Dr. Warren Hofstra and Dr. Mohammad F. Obeid of Shenandoah University, along with Dr. Kevin Hardwick of James Madison University.

'The Great Experiment' takes viewers on an immersive journey back in time, offering a unique opportunity to witness the Founding Fathers engaging in debates over the Constitution. This educational project leverages cutting-edge virtual reality technology to transport users into the heart of historical events, providing an unparalleled and immersive learning experience.

The Omohundro Institute Annual Conference served as a platform to present 'The Great Experiment' to scholars and researchers in the field of history. The immersive VR experience garnered attention for its innovative approach to historical education, allowing conference attendees to witness firsthand the potential of immersive technology in bringing history to life.

In October, the ILA Conference provided a virtual space for them to extend the reach of 'The Great Experiment.' Attendees from around the globe had the opportunity to engage with this transformative project, experiencing the power of virtual reality in education. The conference discussions delved into the intersection of immersive technology and learning, with 'The Great Experiment' serving as a compelling example of how VR can enhance historical understanding.

AVR's presence at these conferences not only highlighted the organization's commitment to pushing the boundaries of immersive technology but also underscored the potential of VR in revolutionizing the way history is taught and understood. As 'The Great Experiment' continues to make waves in academic circles, AVR remains dedicated to advancing immersive experiences that redefine the possibilities of educational technology.
